this summer has been chock full of naps due to our hectic schedule of constant youth events and driving back and forth from home to peachtree city. i am usually terrible at napping because i can never fully turn my brain off, but i’ve learned that if i’m exhausted enough, i can enjoy this wonderful bed for an hour or two.
this has become a ritual when ike’s gone. scout and i head outside and she runs herself ragged while i take action shots like this one. after being bitten by a snake a couple of weeks ago, i’m amazed at her tenacity and fearlessness.
even though a part of my heart will always belong to south georgia, williamson/peachtree city feel a bit more like home everyday. i’m so thankful that i’m surrounded by people that make this place feel more like my own.
